All campuses have a folder making it easier to access and share documents with faculty and staff university wide. The “J Drive” contains a folder link for each campus. When you click the link for any campus, it will open up the folders of the H Drives of that respective campus.

The J Drive is automatically mapped for access from both on and off the JWU network, and is “Persistent” (i.e. it should always stay mapped, and show as either CONNECTED with the drive icon in green and available space indicated, or DISCONNECTED with the drive icon in gray and a red “X”). You can access it from off campus (once logged into VPN), or manually map to it if needed by following the instructions below.

H Drive Managers

Employees from another campus cannot get to something that you put in your departmental H Drive unless your department’s assigned “H Drive Manager” gives that user permission to access the folder (i.e. the “External Shared” subfolder in your departmental H Drive). Please see your department head or administrative assistant for details.
